Our commitment to the arts started with our Founder, Ermenegildo Zegna. He found daily inspiration in art and beauty, commissioning artists, designers, and architects on his journey to building the 232 Road linking Oasi Zegna – a 100km² natural territory in the Biella Alps and the home of our values – to local communities.
A LEGACY THROUGH ART

From its origins in the Italian Alps, ZEGNA has championed art as a transformative force. In 1910, Ermenegildo Zegna envisioned not only the creation of exceptional fabrics, but also the cultural and environmental renewal of his native Trivero. Today, that legacy continues through our partnership with Art Basel and our support for contemporary artists who explore the intersections of community, nature, and culture.

PISTOLETTO'S ARTISTIC VISION

ZEGNA’s collaboration with Michelangelo Pistoletto reflects a shared belief in the power of art to shape society. A trailblazer in socially engaged practice, Pistoletto brings decades of visionary work to the VISIBLE project. His recent nomination for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize underscores the impact of his artistic activism – an approach we proudly support through the Visible Situated Fellowships, presented this year at Art Basel.

A PLATFORM FOR CHANGE

VISIBLE, launched by Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto and Fondazione Zegna, is a global platform for art that addresses urgent environmental and social challenges. At Art Basel 2025, ZEGNA presents the recipients of the Visible Situated Fellowships: Waral Prakalp, based in India, and Shinan Imabo, based in Peru. These artist-led collectives embody ancestral knowledge and community-based ecological practice. With support and curatorial mentorship, these fellowships reflect our belief in art as a tool for regeneration, solidarity, and change.
ZEGNA is proud to be a global Official Partner of Art Basel, supporting all four fairs – Basel, Miami Beach, Paris, and Hong Kong. In Basel, we present a new chapter of our collaboration with VISIBLE, spotlighting artists addressing the climate crisis through rooted, community-based practices. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to champion creativity that advances sustainability, equity, and cultural dialogue.

BORN IN OASI ZEGNA BOOK

This year, we celebrate the harmony between nature and culture with a special edition tote bag featuring artwork by Cecilia Carlstedt, taken from our Born in Oasi Zegna book. Inspired by the 100 km² Oasi Zegna territory in the Biella Alps, the book captures our living heritage through the perspectives of international artists and writers.

THE ZEGNA COLLECTION

ZEGNA’s relationship with contemporary art is anchored in place at the ZEGNA Collection in Trivero. Located in the heart of Oasi Zegna, it is home to a permanent collection that spans generations and geographies – from site-specific commissions by Roman Signer and Daniel Buren to the conceptual art of Pistoletto. It is here, in this mountain landscape shaped by both nature and vision, that the ZEGNA story continues – one rooted in care, craft, and creative possibility.
